— The Studio

Bright, friendly, & built for making.

A working pottery studio tucked into Seminole Heights in Tampa, FL — where small classes, patient teaching, and good company turn a lump of clay into something you're proud of.

Two women are working together to throw clay on a pottery wheel.

— Our space

Real clay, real instruction, no fluff.

Floridian Ceramics is a hands-on studio where we throw functional pieces and teach genuine wheel throwing. The room is light and welcoming, the pace is relaxed, and the focus is on you actually learning the craft.

Every class is small, so you get one-on-one attention from Haley — whether it's your very first bowl or your fiftieth. Come as you are, get your hands muddy, and leave with something made by you.

Intimate

Small classes mean real attention and time at the wheel — never a crowd.

Welcoming

A warm, judgment-free room where total beginners feel right at home.

Community

A woman is sitting at a pottery wheel shaping clay. She is wearing a sleeveless navy blue top and shorts, and sandals. The pottery wheel is labeled 'Clay Boss'. In the background, there are shelves with various pottery supplies and tools. There is another woman sitting nearby, partially visible. The setting appears to be a pottery or ceramics studio.

I’m Haley

I’m a fourth-generation Floridian, raised by people who worked with their hands. They made things that lasted because they had to. Things that were useful before they were pretty. That way of thinking shaped how I work and why I work with clay.

Clay is honest. It rewards patience. It shows every decision you make. It can’t be rushed or controlled. Working with it asks you to slow down and pay attention.

Most of what I make is functional. Bowls you reach for every day. Mugs that feel right in your hands. Pieces that earn their place in your home. I believe beauty comes from use. From repetition. From the quiet moments we don’t usually think about.

This studio grew from that relationship with clay, and with time. It’s a grounded, welcoming space for beginners and experienced makers alike. There’s no pressure to be perfect here - just the chance to make something real with your hands.

I’m glad you’re here.
