Privacy Policy

We're a small studio and we keep this simple: we collect what we need to run your class and answer your message, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

Who we are

Floridian Ceramics, LLC operates this website and the pottery studio at 7110 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33604. Questions about this policy can go to floridianceramics@gmail.com or (813) 373-5200.

What we collect, and why

  • Booking a class. Your name and email, so we know who holds the seat and where to send your receipt and class details. Your card details are entered into a secure form provided by Square and go directly to Square; we never see or store card numbers.
  • Managing a booking. When you reschedule or cancel online we use the email you booked with to find your reservation. Reschedule and cancel history is kept with the booking so we can honour it.
  • Contact, waitlist, commission and newsletter forms. The details you type into the form (name, email, phone if you give it, and your message or answers). These are delivered to the studio and stored by our website host, Netlify, as form submissions.
  • Pickup status. When you check on finished pieces, the first name, last initial and class date you enter are matched against the studio's pickup sheet, which is kept in Google Sheets.
  • Technical basics. Like any website, our host records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Who handles it on our behalf

  • Square processes payments and stores orders, receipts and refunds. Square's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.
  • Netlify hosts the site and stores form submissions and our booking records.
  • Google (Sheets) holds the studio's pickup tracking sheet.

We don't run advertising trackers or sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services above so they can do their job for you, or when the law requires it.

Email

We only email you about something you asked for: your booking, a reply to your message, or the studio newsletter if you signed up. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and tell us to stop.

Cookies and browser storage

This site doesn't use advertising cookies. It uses a small amount of browser storage for conveniences like remembering the class dates you were just looking at, and Square's payment form sets what it needs to process a payment securely.

How long we keep things

Booking and payment records are kept as long as we need them for accounting and to handle refunds and disputes. Form submissions are kept until the conversation is finished and then periodically cleared. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing floridianceramics@gmail.com; we'll do so unless we have to keep a record for tax or legal reasons.

Children

Kids 8 and up can take classes with an adult, but bookings and online forms are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information we'll update this page and the date at the top.
